Collaborative Care for Depression in Primary Care

Improvements in symptom recognition and treatment of depression can be improved through collaborative care. Collaboration of both primary care provider and behavioral health providers can help patients with depression obtain high quality and effective treatment in the primary care clinics. The quality improvement practice was to improve the coordination and collaboration of care, access to services, and referral to behavioral health providers.
