dc.description
Annual Simulation Conference. Held at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center
en
dc.description.abstract
Faculty, staff, deans, and directors are using simulation in various forms and with diverse fidelity and need guidance on how to optimize the use of simulation. The NCSBN guidelines the use of simulation in pre-licensure nursing programs were released October 1, 2015. Many nursing educators and School of Nursing are trying to determine what these guidelines mean to their programs. After the 2014 NCSBN simulation study supporting simulation as a methodology to use for clinical up to 50%, there was concern that educators would offer simulation without the quality control used in the study. Faculty, staff, deans, and directors will be able to use the NCSBN simulation guidelines to develop a strong simulation program to support clinical learning.
en
