A rubric focusing upon QSEN competencies is being developed to improve student outcomes in a writing intensive, nursing research course. Using Donabedian's quality improvement framework, students learn to apply consistent measures to determine writing effectiveness. This method of peer review promotes teamwork and collaboration.
