The purpose of this quantitative, non-experimental cross sectional study was to explore the use of Principal Components Analysis (PCA) to recognize redundancy and correlations in the variables – standardized Content Specific Assessments (CSA) – in a sample of first-attempt NCLEX failures from multiple programs across the US.
The author is the recipient of the 2015-2016 STTI/ATI Educational Assessment Nursing Research Grant
The Sigma Theta Tau International grant application that funded this research, in whole or in part, was completed by the applicant and peer-reviewed prior to the award of the STTI grant. No further peer-review has taken place upon the completion of the STTI grant final report and its appearance in this repository.
